【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssolid,dry-cast,concretefacingbrickintendedforinteriorandexterioruseinconstructingstructuralandfacingmasonrycomponentsandaremadefromportlandcement,water,andsuitablemineralaggregateswithorwithouttheinclusionofothermaterials.Note18212;SpecificationC55addressesconcretebuildingbrickusedinnon-facing,utilitarianapplications(previouslyreferredtoinearliereditionsofSpecificationC55C55asGradeSx2014;forgeneralusewheremoderatestrengthandresistancetofrostactionandmoisturepenetrationarerequired).ThisspecificationdiffersfromSpecificationC55inthatitincludesexpandedconsiderationforpropertiesofconcretebrickusedinfacingapplicationsandotherexposures(previouslyreferredtoinearliereditionsofSpecificationC55asGradeNx2014;foruseasarchitecturalveneerandfacingunitsinexteriorwallsandforusewherehighstrengthandresistancetomoisturepenetrationandseverefrostactionaredesired).1.2Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Note28212;Concretefacingbrickcoveredbythisspecificationaremadefromlightweightornormalweightaggregates,orboth.Note38212;Whenparticularfeaturesaredesired,suchasdensityclassification,highcompressivestrength,surfacetexturesforappearanceorbond,finish,color,fireresistance,insulation,acousticalproperties,orotherspecialfeatures,suchpropertiesshouldbespecifiedseparatelybythepurchaser.Suppliersshouldbeconsultedastotheavailabilityofconcretefacingbrickhavingthedesiredfeatures.
